Introducing Yamaha’s Certified Pre-Owned Program
In direct reaction to customer demand and focus group studies, Yamaha Golf-Car Company is proud to announce a golf car industry first- the Yamaha Certified Pre-Owned Program.
We have heard from many customers that in the existing business climate, there is a real need for a low cost alternative to leasing brand new golf cars. Many courses are looking for additional units to complete their fleets during peak season, while other courses with budget constraints are looking for a more affordable way to offer new looking golf cars to their patrons.
After months of preparation, Yamaha Golf-Car Company is prepared to meet both of these needs, says Bill Szarowicz, Vice President for Yamaha Golf-Car Company. We are thrilled to offer this program to our customers and units are available now for delivery.
Our challenge was to develop a program whose end result is a golf car that lives up to Yamaha’s high standards. This is accomplished through a 56 point inspection on our gas car, and a 49 point inspection on our electric (98 and older vehicles), says John Terminella, National Sales Manager Used Cars for Yamaha Golf-Car Company.
You can stand next to one of our CPO units and most would think it was a new car. Our system of reconditioning is more than skin deep. Just some of the key components that are replaced (as required) are: front and rear bodies, tires, brake return spring, primary and secondary clutch (gas only), bag strap, suntop hardware and batteries and cables.
Our stringent standards afford us the ability to give the customer a standard one-year limited warranty on all CPO’s and we offer a three-year limited warranty with a Yamaha Factory Service Agreement to fleet customers. Starting in June 2002, Yamaha Distributors and District Sales Managers began offering the CPO program to existing customers and prospects on a World Wide level.
Our CPO program has given the marketing arm of Yamaha Golf-Car Company, something else to brag about, says Chris Wall, International Marketing Manager for Yamaha Golf-Car Company. First we built a brand new state-of-the-art factory where the new G-MAX 48V and G-MAX 4-stroke are being built, and now we have the CPO program up and running strong.
You will begin to see CPO ads in many of the industries major magazines over the next few months. Our team has put so much time and research in this program that it simply makes my job easy. When you can offer a CPO golf car to a golf course for a low monthly lease payment with an available three year limited warranty, the math just adds up!
