JVC Rolls out a compact Sirus Tuner for the car and home
JVC today announced a unique, PDA-style Sirius Satellite Radio Plug 'n' Play tuner designed for use in cars and homes, with or without Sirius-compatible receivers.
The KT-SR1000 combines form and function in the guise of a 5 1/2 inch x 3 1/2 inch x 1 1/2 inch (H/W/D) unit, with easily accessed buttons and a bright, large, easily-viewable LCD display with multiple display options for enhanced legibility.
Artist names and song titles are presented in large type to enhance safety by minimizing distractions. Users are allowed to set up to 30 stream preferences, with the option to lock or unlock a given function.
For example, a list of preferred categories and stations may be stored without fear of alteration until the user decides it is time for a change. Memory Capture stores 20 favorite songs, and when activated can search all incoming streams for those songs.
The Sirius Satellite Radio system offers a plethora of unbeatable benefits, including amazing digital sound quality, 100+ streams of content, 100 percent commercial-free music and, of course, coast-to-coast coverage, said Aaron Novak, National Product Planning Supervisor, Mobile Electronics Division, JVC Company of America.
"But JVC is going the extra mile by giving consumers an intelligent design that allows for easy and safe operation on the road, and full compatibility with their home audio systems. It's the epitome of the plug & play concept.
