Vintage Race Car Count Continues To Grow
At least 40 of Southern California’s most famous vintage race cars will be on display at Eibach Springs Presents the Festival of Speed. The event provides a rare opportunity for enthusiasts to see legendary race cars from personal collections, as well as from the Petersen Automotive Museum and the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum. Many of the men who wrenched or drove the cars will be in attendance, too.
At Irwindale Speedway, in Irwindale, California, Eibach Springs Presents the Festival of Speed will be a prelude to the 2nd Annual Mopar Twin 25’s Irwindale. The unique racing format of the Mopar Twin 25’s provides a full night of frantic, wheel-to-wheel USAC Midget racing action, with two 25-lap feature races.
If you’re a Southern California race fan, you can’t stay home on Saturday, March 27, said Steve Lewis, Premier Racing Entertainment, organizers of the events. Courtesy of Eibach Springs, the Festival of Speed offers free admission to see some of the most legendary race cars in Southern California history. We’ll even take some of them over to the drag strip and light them up so you can hear them roar once more.
