Big O Tire centers in B.C. joined the Tirecraft family

If you plan to drive through Cranbrook, BC this summer, you'll see a shiny, new Tirecraft sign perched across from the Railway Museum. You'll also find Tirecraft signs in Trail and Creston. This spring, three former Big O Tire centers in B.C. joined the Tirecraft family.

Gord Hansen, owner of the Creston location, his son Ken Hansen, owner of the Cranbrook store and Gerry Woodhouse, owner of the Trail store, made a group decision to sign up with Tirecraft. Joining Tirecraft will enable us to offer more national brands, it's better for the customer and us, said Gord on the decision to align his company with Tirecraft. Customers can now enjoy the added benefits of Tirecraft's Miles Ahead Customer Security Plan, the TireCard and the Best Buy lineup of tires.

Gord Hansen has been in the trade for more than 40 years. My first job out of high school in 1962 was in the tire business, he recalls. Gord truly likes running his own business. There are no pitfalls when you enjoy what you are doing, he said. To keep customers coming back, he makes sure that service is a fact, not just a promise.

Woody has worked in the automotive industry for about 24 years. He took over the Trail, B.C. store 6 years ago, employing his son and brother in the award winning, family business. The 1929 building was originally constructed as a tire shop and still serves that purpose 75 years later. Woody is involved in the community, serving as the Fire Chief for the Rossland fire department.

Ken Hansen followed in his father's steps and also started in the tire business at a young age. After learning the ropes, Ken bought the Cranbrook store from Gord in 1993. What is the Hansen's secret to long term success? Do your best to achieve customer satisfaction.

Due to their continual commitment to and delivery of exceptional customer satisfaction all three stores have flourished in the inviting climate of the Kootenays.
