  • Free Car Care Check-up at Pima Community College
    The Pima County Department of Environmental Quality's Clean Air Program is holding a Car Care Check-up at Pima Community College Downtown Campus on Saturday, October 25th. The Automotive Service Association is co-sponsoring the event, and volunteers from local automotive repair shops and other agencies will provide the check-up.

  • AAA Names 20 Minnesota Auto Repair Facilities As TOP SHOPS
    Twenty repair facilities participating in AAA's Approved Auto Repair program have been named Minnesota’s Top Shops for 2002 by the AAA Clubs of Minnesota. The fifth annual Top Shop award is given to those repair facilities scoring 98 percent or higher in ongoing customer satisfaction surveys. The evaluations are monitored and processed by AAA.

  • Tougher Fuel Standarts For Passenger Vehicles Fails
    Reacting to last night’s vote on the attempt by Massachusett’s Congressman Edward Markey to raise the fuel efficiency standards on light trucks (SUVs, mini-vans, and pick-ups) to 27.5 mpg, the Sierra Club expressed extreme disappointment in the Missouri congressional delegation. All voted against raising such standards.
